Canada’s wetlands, especially on the Prairies and in the western boreal forest, annually produce almost 75 per cent of North America’s waterfowl populations. Because of the number of waterfowl migrating each fall, Canada is a mecca for waterfowl hunters.
Whether hunting geese or ducks, from farmland to boreal marsh, Canada’s wetlands offer a diversity of waterfowling opportunities and experiences for all people.
Over the years and thanks in part to its strong waterfowling heritage, DUC has numerous and significant wetland conservation projects across Canada that in many cases offer great waterfowl hunting opportunities.
