Saskatchewan Hunting Pemits
The Saskatchewan government’s Ministry of Environment regulates all hunting activities and provides a variety of information for hunters. Click here to access the Ministry’s online resource that provides all the latest news and information on hunting in the province.
Licenses and permits
To hunt migratory game birds (e.g. waterfowl) in Saskatchewan, you need the following:
• A Federal Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit
• A Provincial Game Bird Licence
• A Wildlife Habitat Certificate
Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permits can be purchased at any Canada Post office in Saskatchewan. Hunting licences and Wildlife Habitat Certificates can be ordered online or obtained at one of Saskatchewan’s licence vendors. Please remember your hunting licence and Wildlife Habitat Certificate must be carried with you at all times while hunting.
