Nova Scotia Migratory Birds Hunting Regulations
The Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS), a branch of Environment Canada, handles wildlife matters that are the responsibility of the federal government. This includes protection and management of migratory birds. As part of its responsibility to manage migratory birds, the CWS consults with provinces and territories and issues annual migratory game bird hunting regulations.
For information on Nova Scotia’s open seasons, as well as bag and possession limits, learn more at Nova Scotia Migratory Birds Hunting Regulations. Paper versions of the annual provincial Migratory Bird Hunting Regulations, along with the hunting permits, are also available at Canada Post outlets across the province.
