Newfoundland Hunting Permits
The provincial Ministry of Environment and Conservation regulates all aspects of hunting and fur harvesting to protect and conserve wildlife in Newfoundland and Labrador. Licenses and permits
To hunt migratory game birds in Newfoundland and Labrador, you need the following:
- A Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Permit,
- A provincial Outdoor Identification Card, and
- The appropriate hunting licence (small game licence)
The Migratory Bird Hunting Permit can be obtained at your local Canada Post office. Small game licences are available at numerous sporting goods, hardware or general stores (vendor outlets) throughout the province, or at Government Services Centres.
