About Waterfowling
Waterfowling is a pastime steeped in history and 
one which has contributed significantly to our Canadian heritage. In fact, since the revolutionary advances in firearms and ammunition that occurred during the latter half of the 19th century, recreational hunters have taken to Canada's marshes and fields in pursuit of the continent’s plentiful ducks and geese.
That waterfowling tradition continues today, due in part to the commitment of conservation-minded sportsmen in the 1930s who set out to stop the destruction and neglect of Canada’s wetlands and prime waterfowl habitats by starting DUC.
